Service

Biostatistics & data analysis

Statistical analysis is not a service you buy at the end of a project. It is the part of the project that decides whether the conclusion is true.

What does a biostatistics service actually do for a clinical study?

A biostatistics service selects and runs the analysis that matches your research question and study design, verifies that the assumptions behind that analysis hold in your data, quantifies effects with confidence intervals rather than p-values alone, tests whether the conclusion survives reasonable alternative specifications, and produces the tables, figures and methods text a journal will accept. At ClinStat the analysis is then independently reproduced by a second statistician before it is delivered.

What this service includes

Analysis plan first
A written statistical analysis plan tied to your research question, primary and secondary outcomes, and the design you actually used — agreed before any modelling begins.
Descriptive and comparative analysis
Cohort characterisation, appropriate parametric and non-parametric comparisons, and correct handling of paired, clustered and repeated measurements.
Regression modelling
Linear, logistic, ordinal, multinomial, Poisson, negative-binomial and Cox models, with confounder selection driven by clinical reasoning and causal structure rather than univariate p-values.
Assumption testing
Normality, homoscedasticity, independence, linearity, multicollinearity, proportional hazards and proportional odds — checked, reported, and addressed with robust alternatives when violated.
Advanced methods
Propensity scores and IPTW, mixed models and GEE, competing risks, splines, multiple imputation, Bayesian models and prediction modelling where the question requires them.
Publication-ready output
Formatted Table 1, results tables, and figures built to journal specification, plus a statistical methods paragraph that matches exactly what was run.
Independent verification
A second statistician reproduces the primary results from the cleaned dataset before anything is delivered.
Reviewer support
Additional analyses, re-analyses and point-by-point statistical responses when reviewers come back.

What you receive

  • Statistical analysis plan
  • Complete statistical output with annotated code
  • Publication-ready tables and figures
  • Methods and results text for the manuscript
  • Sensitivity and robustness analyses
  • Reproducible analysis scripts (R, Stata, SPSS or Python)

Independently verified before it reaches you

Every primary result is reproduced from the cleaned dataset by a second statistician before delivery, and you receive the analysis scripts so any number in the manuscript can be traced back to a line of code and a row of data.
