About the institute
A research institute run by people who publish.
ClinStat Research — معهد كلينستات للأبحاث والدراسات — provides methodological and statistical support to clinical researchers worldwide. Every member of the team is a practising medical doctor with an active research record.
ClinStat Research is a clinical research organisation providing study design and protocol development, sample-size calculation, data validation and management, biostatistical analysis, systematic review and meta-analysis, manuscript preparation and publication support, and structured research mentorship. It works remotely with individual clinicians, research teams, academic departments and institutions worldwide, in English and Arabic.
The standard we are held to
Three factors that make a research institution reliable.
These are the questions we would ask of anyone offering to analyse our data. They are the questions we expect you to ask of us.
-
A highly qualified, research-active medical team
Our team is made up of medical doctors actively involved in scientific research — every member has at least 50 scientific publications and an h-index of 5 or higher. That means sustained, current experience in research methodology, scientific writing, peer review and academic publishing, not clinical expertise alone.
-
Extensive experience and a proven track record
More than 1,000 researchers and clients supported across over 5,000 research projects, spanning different specialties, study designs and stages of the research process. A portfolio that size is what produces judgement about complex research questions, statistical analyses, systematic reviews, manuscripts and publication problems.
-
Real quality-control and research infrastructure
Reliable research takes more than individual expertise. We run a structured workflow with data-quality checks, appropriate statistical methodology, independent review of every analysis, reproducible research practices and scientific quality assurance before anything is delivered.
The team
Researchers first, consultants second.
Every ClinStat team member is a medical doctor actively involved in scientific research, with a minimum of 50 scientific publications and an h-index of 5 or higher. That is a deliberate hiring bar, and it is the reason the advice you get is about your research question rather than about which test to run.
It means sustained, current experience in research methodology, scientific writing, peer review and academic publishing — the same processes your manuscript will have to survive.
A typical project team
- Clinical researcher — evaluates medical definitions and clinical plausibility
- Biostatistician — develops and performs the statistical analysis
- Data analyst — cleans and restructures the database
- Senior researcher — independently reviews methodology and results
- Scientific writer — ensures the analysis is represented accurately in the manuscript
Every primary result is reproduced from the cleaned dataset by a second statistician before delivery.
How we work
A process built for accuracy. Results built for impact.
Every project we take on goes through the same path, whether it is a single manuscript or a hundred a quarter.
-
1
Understand
A free 15-minute call to establish the research question, what data exist, and what the deadline really is.
-
2
Plan
Design review or a written statistical analysis plan tied to the question — agreed before any modelling begins.
-
3
Validate
Structured data validation: ranges, logic, duplicates, coding harmonisation, eligibility and missingness, with an audit trail.
-
4
Analyse
The analysis the question requires, with assumptions tested and sensitivity analyses run, in reproducible code.
-
5
Verify
A second statistician independently reproduces every primary result from the cleaned dataset.
-
6
Deliver
Publication-ready tables, figures, methods and results text — plus the scripts, so every number is traceable.
Before you choose anyone
Five questions to ask before you bring a biostatistician onto your project.
Including us. The answers tell you whether you are getting a methodologist or a button-pusher.
-
Do they ask about your research question before your data?
The question determines the analysis. A statistician who asks for the spreadsheet first will fit a method to whatever arrives.
-
Can they explain the method in plain language, not jargon?
If they cannot explain it to you, you cannot defend it to a reviewer.
-
Do they review your study design, or only analyse what is already collected?
Design problems cannot be repaired by analysis, however sophisticated.
-
Do they document every step so someone else could reproduce it?
Reproducibility is the difference between a defensible result and a hopeful one.
-
What does their own publication record look like?
Ours: every team member has 50+ publications and an h-index of at least 5.
